Community Service

At Rolling Plains, we believe that a life of joyful service in the Lord’s name is a normal lifestyle for Christ followers. We encourage people to “Go in Jesus’ name and serve others.” We believe that reaching out to serve our neighbors, co-workers, friends, and strangers demonstrates the love of God in very practical ways. Whether one chooses to pray for/with others, to do intentional acts of kindness, to serve behind the scenes, or to serve in a God honoring ministry in the community, we believe that all of those actions serve Jesus as He told us to “Love one another.”

weServe Southeastern Ohio

weServe is an organization formed very recently by members of Rolling Plains to bridge the gap between volunteers and the organizations that need them. The founding principle of weServe SEO lies in Scripture:

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
– Ephesians 2: 8-10

Working for others is a foundation of our faith. weServe SEO will exist to make that process easier for everyone involved. To learn how you can help, visit weServeSEO.org.

World Mission Service

We love to serve here at Rolling Plains!

We travel to and minister in Haiti and in Guatemala.

If you would like to see more of our world, witness how thousands upon thousands of people struggle through this life, maybe eat unusual food, and most importantly, take the love of Jesus to a hurting world, consider going on a mission trip.

We are expected to raise our own funding for our trips, but it is amazing how many people that can not go on the trips are willing to help those that can. Pray about it and see if God is calling you to be a short-term missionary for Him!
