Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Ministry:
- Believes that prayer is essential to relationship with God.
- Serves as the hub for all prayer operations.
- Establishes prayer cover for work of the church and needs of individuals within the church.
- Offers training in the discipline of prayer.
- Seeks to integrate prayer into every ministry in the church.
- Teaches varied styles of prayer.
- Informs, and seeks to involve, the local church in city, state, and national prayer events.
Prayer Teams:
- Morning Prayer Group meets at 7:00 each morning in the church to pray for the needs of individuals and ministries. Members come as they are available at that time.
- Prayer Chain Team lift urgent needs that arise during the times we are not together in worship.
- Intercessory Team works from a list of individuals for whom they have committed to pray regularly at home for one year.
- Garden of Prayer Team prays at the altar for prayer requests submitted during worship services.
- Healing Prayer Team undergoes special training and prays in a variety of settings with individuals who seek God’s touch.
- Vanguard Team meets on Sunday mornings prior to the worship services to pray for God’s work to be accomplished in the services and classes. They pray for Pastors, worship leaders, musicians, and teachers. They pray for salvation for the lost.
The Prayer Ministry is actively seeking people who:
- Believe Jesus is an accessible and personal Savior.
- Have faith that God is an active force in our daily lives.
- Have a passion for God’s work in the world.
- Have compassion for the needs of others.
- Can keep the confidence of those who entrust cares to them for prayer.
- Seek to find the style of prayer for which God has wired them.
- Are motivated to grow in their prayer life.
