First of all, I would like to thank you for allowing us to minister to your child. We as a staff consider it an honor and a privilege to serve such a wonderful and mighty God that allows us to minister to young people. Secondly, I would like to invite your entire family to come and experience the love of Jesus Christ through all of the awesome resources that God has blessed us with here at Rolling Plains Church. We have 4 Core values that we live by. They are: Come as you are; Connect with each other; Grow in God's Word and prayer; and Go in Jesus' name and serve others. In the ROCK SOLID Student Ministries department we also live by these same values. Our dedicated staff works hard to make your child's experience as incredible one. Our goal is to use every resource available to create an environment in which your youth can grow in his walk with Jesus Christ. There are several programs available to choose from, whatever your child's age. Take a look and thanks again for stopping by and checking out Rolling Plains Church website!
These events are great opportunities for students to come and celebrate a Maysville Panther victory! Beginning at 9:00 PM and ending at Midnight, youth grades 6-12 are able to come into the church and play games, watch a movie, enjoy the Game Room (pool, air hockey, etc) or just hang out with friends. They also have the chance to get fed physically and spiritually. The volunteers do a great job in preparing some great snacks to satisfy the late night cravings. Also, "Time Out" is a chance to get some spiritual filling as well. A short devotion time allows the "Zone-ies" to hear a short, practical life lesson straight from the Word of God.
InZone is held after the Maysville home football games and InBounds is held after the Maysville home basketball games.
Christ University is a fun and exciting opportunity for the adults and youth to share their God given gifts and talents while demonstrating and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with young people through Scripture and fellowship.
Some of the classes are that are offered:
Cooking
Scrapbooking
Prayer
Leadership
Service
Confirmation
The topics often change and are varied. Check back to see what will be upcoming!
We are always finding ways for our students to learn about giving back and serving. There are opportunities to go to Haiti, Guatemala, and Romania. Also, we host ServeFest twice a year. This is when we gather adults and families from all across Muskingum County churches and give back to our community by helping people with projects in their homes, clean up community parks, help other non-profit ministries, or just hand out bottles of cold water to strangers. There are many area ministries that would love to have bright smiling faces of youth to help them periodically. We try to plug in with them, like: Eastside Community Ministries, the Pregnancy Distress Center, LifeWell (Free Store, Furniture Bank, Food Pantry), and the Salvation Army, to name a few. Join with us as we show God's love in a practical way!
